The Tobacco Prevention Program at the Florida Department of Health in Lake County is a comprehensive program that provides:

  • School-based and community presentations

  • Encouragement through cessation referral as well as support

  • Empowerment through youth-based advocacy, activities

  • Teen Tobacco Citation Class

The program goals are to establish local policy and system change to:

  • Prevent initiation of Tobacco use Among Youth and Young Adults

  • Eliminate exposure to Second-hand Smoke

  • Promote Cessation from Tobacco Use

  • Maintain a Tobacco Free Partnership
