DOH-LAKE PROMOTES WATER SAFETY MONTH
Eustis, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake) encourages communities to participate in National Water Safety Month in May. Take precautions to prevent drownings. As part of National Water Safety Month, DOH-Lake will be participating in Water Safety Day events along with the City of Clermont, Lake County Rowing Association, City of Eustis, Eustis Fire Department, Lake County Board of County Commissioners, Lake County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the YMCA.

OFFICES TO CLOSE IN OBSERVANCE OF THE MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY
Eustis, FL – All Florida Department of Health in Lake County offices will be closed Monday, May 29, 2023, to observe the Memorial Day Holiday. All offices will reopen Tuesday, May 30, 2023, with regularly scheduled hours. As in all medical emergencies, residents needing immediate assistance should dial 911.
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN LAKE COUNTY PROVIDING LIFESAVING NALOXONE TO REDUCE SUBSTANCE ABUSE DEATHS
Eustis, Fla.– The Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake) is announcing the availability of free Naloxone (Narcan) Nasal Spray kits. This lifesaving medication could reduce thousands of substance abuse deaths across the state. Naloxone is available to people who use drugs, people with a history of drug use, others at risk of experiencing an overdose, friends, family members, and others who may witness an overdose. Kits consist of two Naloxone nasal sprays that are administered even without a health care professional present.

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN LAKE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION OFFICE TEMPORARILY CLOSED
Eustis, FL – The Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake) Administration Building, which houses the Office of Vital Statistics, located at 16140 US Hwy 441, Eustis, FL, will temporarily close starting Monday, October 24, 2022, until further notice due to construction.
COVID-19 Information
Florida Department of Health in Lake County COVID-19 vaccines and testing sites closed as of Thursday, June 30th, 2022. Any resident in need of covid-19 vaccines or testing after June 30th are encouraged to contact their primary doctor office, local pharmacy, urgent-care, and Community Health Centers in their area. Those without a primary doctor can contact our office at (352) 771-5500 Monday through Friday 8 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.to schedule an appointment.
