DOH-LAKE County Office Closure for Tropical Storm Nicole

Lake County, Fla. — In response to Tropical Storm Nicole, county government offices in Lake County will close at noon (12:00 p.m.) today. As a result, the Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake) will also close at noon today through Thursday, November 10th, 2022.  As a reminder, DOH-Lake Offices are closed on Friday, November 11, for Veterans Day.

The Florida Department of Health continues to coordinate with local emergency managers on resource requests and is on-site at the State Emergency Operation Center in Tallahassee responding to Tropical Storm Nicole.

Special Needs/General Population Shelters:

Two shelters will open on Wednesday, November 9 at 3 p.m. The shelters can accommodate residents with disabilities, pets, and general population.  The shelters will be located at:

  • Lost Lake Elementary
    1901 Johns Lake Rd. Clermont FL 34711
  • Umatilla Elementary School
    401 Lake Street, Umatilla, FL 32784
