Rescinds Rabies Alert Pine Lakes 2-16-15 

The Florida Department of Health in Lake County Rescinds Rabies Alert Issued for
the Pine Lakes Area of Lake County 
  
Pine Lakes – Having no cases of rabies in the area since the rabies alert issued on Thursday, December 18, 2014. 
  • North boundary- County Road 42
  • South boundary- Royal Trails Road
  • East boundary- St. Johns River
  • West boundary- Royal Trails Road
 Residents should always remember the following:
  • Avoid contact with any wild or domestic free roaming animals.
  • Call Lake County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services if such animals approach their home or yard.
  • Make sure your pet(s) have current rabies vaccinations.
Persons who have been bitten or scratched by wild or domestic animals should seek medical attention and report the injury to the Florida Department of Health in Lake County at 352-253-6130.
