The Florida Department of Health in Lake County Rescinds Rabies Alert Issued for the Tavares Area of Lake County
Tavares – Having no cases of rabies in the area since the rabies alert issued on Thursday, December 12, 2014.- North boundary- Highway 441
- South boundary- Woodlea Road
- East boundary- Lake Harris
- West boundary- State Road 19
- Avoid contact with any wild or domestic free roaming animals.
- Call Lake County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services if such animals approach their home or yard.
- Make sure your pet(s) have current rabies vaccinations.
