The Young Families Health Initiative Committee of Lake County is Asking for Sponsors, Exhibitors and Volunteers for Annual Fair

EUSTIS, FL Via Port (formerly Lake Square Mall), in Leesburg, will host Lake County’s 2016 Baby Fair. Participants are invited to attend one of two sessions on Thursday, September 8th, 2016:

Afternoon Session                                       Evening Session
2:00 pm – 4:00 PM                                       5:00 pm – 7:00 PM
Registration 1:30 – 2:00 PM                           Registration 4:30 – 5:00 PM

The Young Families Health Initiative Committee of Lake County is coordinating the event, which provides prenatal and postnatal education and helps raise awareness of community resources.  Cooperating agencies include: Be Free Lake, Central Healthy Start Coalition, Florida Department of Health in Lake County, Florida Department of Children and Families, Early Learning Coalition, Head Start, Healthy Families, Kids Central Inc., Kiwanis Clubs of Division 9, and Pediatric Health Choices.

The Young Families Health Initiative Committee is asking organizations to help celebrate the event with a baby gift or monetary sponsorship. In addition, volunteers are needed to help coordinate the event and to exhibit relevant educational material.
 
Title sponsors include Via Port, Florida Hospital Waterman, Kiwanis Clubs of Division 9, Staywell/Well Florida, as well as area OB and pediatric providers. Nonprofit community partners will help educate families and provide information about available community resources.  For-profit businesses may provide door prizes, coupons and exhibit an educational topic.
 
The 27th Annual Baby Fair welcomes moms and dads of children up to 12 months of age, including women who are currently pregnant.  Information will focus on healthy lifestyles, infant and child safety, early learning, and positive parenting. Pre-registration is not required and there is no cost for the event.
