Eustis, FL — Lake County has 235 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the community. This information is updated daily and can be found on the Florida Department of Health’s COVID-19webpage.

The Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake), along with healthcare partners, local government and other community partners are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and protecting the public. To keep the community informed of the status of these efforts, DOH-Lake will be providing recurring updates.

• DOH-Lake established a local call center to handle health questions regarding COVID- 19.
• Lake County Government opened the Citizen's Information Line to handle questions regarding business closings and reopening’s, unemployment, housing, food, and other issues related to COVID-19 response
• DOH-Lake strike teams have responded to long term care facilities with COVID-19 positive
• Lake County Government has partnered with Adult Medicine of Lake County, the City of Leesburg, Lake Sumter State College and DOH-Lake to offer COVID-19 testing at three different sites in Lake
• Emergency Management has supported logistics operations to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other supplies to Assisted Living Facilities//Nursing Homes and other healthcare
• AdventHealth is providing testing at Lake-Sumter State College in

Sites for COVID-Testing in Lake County

FDA approved swab or antibody tests will be administered to Lake County residents for $20 through May 17. The sites will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at:

AdventHealth

AdventHealth is providing testing at Lake-Sumter State College in Leesburg thru May 8th. Registration is highly encouraged and those who meet the criteria and wish to be tested should visit https://www.adventhealth.com/coronavirus-resource-hub/coronavirus-covid-19-screening-and-testing prior to arrival. There are no out-of-pocket costs, regardless of insurance status.

DOH-Lake

Any Lake County resident with symptoms and without a primary healthcare provider can contact the DOH-Lake COVID-19 hotline at 352-742-4830. The hotline is open seven days a week 9am-5pm. Callers will go through a screening process and if they meet CDC criteria’s they will be referred to a DOH-Lake testing site for testing.

Women, Infants, Children (WIC)

WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children who meet income and nutrition risk requirements. WIC provides participants who qualify for the program with the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care and community services.

• The DOH-Lake WIC program continues to help families with supplemental nutrition for babies, infants and moms-to-be. At this time, in order to limit exposure and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, some Lake County WIC clients may now receive services over the phone without having to come to one of the WIC office locations.
