Infectious Disease Services (HIV/AIDS)

Florida Department of Health in Lake County Specialty Care HIV/AIDS Section

Sexually transmitted disease testing, case management, counseling, and treatment services are provided. Confidential HIV/AIDS testing and treatment, HIV nutritional counseling, prescription medications, and vitamins are also available. For more information or to speak to a staff member in the Disease Control Department, please call 352-771-5500 using option 6.

Specialty Care Clinic - HIV/AIDS Section provides services and treatment for prevention and people living with HIV/AIDS, (PLWH). Services include but are not limited to

  • Confidential testing,
  • Pre-exposure prophylaxis, PrEP, and post-exposure prophylaxis, PEP,
  • HIV/AIDS treatment and counseling
  • Prescription assistance through the AIDS Drug Assistance Program, (ADAP).
  • Surveillance and Partner Notification

Services through Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, RWHAP for eligible PLWH include but are not limited to.

  • Case Management
  • Peer Mentoring
  • Early Intervention (Counseling and Testing)
  • Housing,
  • Dental Care
  • Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
  • Medical Nutritional Therapy
  • Transportation
  • Food Bank Services
