HOW WIC Works
Read Florida’s WIC program guide, available in English, Spanish, and Kreyòl.
Families are screened for nutritional risk and income eligibility. Licensed nutritionists and nutrition educators determine eligibility and provide nutrition assessment, counseling, and education to assist families in making healthier nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle choices.
Eligibility
Income eligibility guidelines require a total household income equal to or less than the amounts shown in the WIC income guidelines. You are income-eligible if you are currently receiving Medicaid, temporary cash assistance (TCA), or food assistance. However, you do not have to be on a public assistance program to qualify for WIC.
